Program Format

Leadership Thurston County is a ten-month, local leadership development program. It includes monthly, day-long sessions (Challenge Days), and Opening and a Closing Retreats.

The program is designed to assist each participant in acquiring a broad understanding of the complex issues facing the South Puget Sound region and in building relationships that will facilitate collaborative efforts in resolving today's and tomorrow's challenges.

Topics are explored through speakers, panels, field visits, seminars, team projects and study groups. Participants gain insight into how community decisions are made, who makes them, and what alters and influences these decisions.
